Since 2017 Frank-Jan is responsible for engineering and supply chain management at Heering. Before joining Heering he worked for various manufacturing companies in agriculture and holds a degree in mechanical engineering.

From one-offs to component driven manufacturing
When Heering started to build trailers in 1865 for transport of delicate goods it never imagined that they would sell those world-wide. Growing demand dictated the company to redesign their manufacturing process and with that their product to manufacture faster, on-time and with less cost and the same amount of personnel.
This meant a full redesign of their product, think in components i.s.o. part and combine various design tools (a.o. Sparx EA and Lattix Architect), ERP systems and Qootz. With that the business model changed and prepared Heering for the next step of growth in their fifth-generation family-owned company. Frank-Jan will take you on their journey.
