Gillian Adens

Gillian is director at Hippo Software (Sparx Services UK), services partner for Sparx Systems in the UK and Northern Europe. Gillian studied joint honours Mathematics and Computing Science at Glasgow University and is a Chartered IT Professional Member of the British Computer Society. Gillian was one of the earliest adopters of UML and Sparx EA in the UK (using Sparx EA from V2 onwards) and also has extensive experience with ArchiMate, BPMN and SysML.

EA Requirements and Use Case Masterclass
This interactive workshop is aimed at anyone wishing to learn more about capturing requirements in Enterprise Architect. Delegates will learn how to:
• capture, document, present and view requirements details
• colour-code requirements based on status and add custom properties
• perform stakeholder analysis and create an actor catalogue
• build a use case model incorporating include, extend and inheritance relationships
• document scenarios and auto-generate activity and test case diagrams
• demonstrate traceability using window, diagram and relationship matrix
Delegates who bring their own laptops running Sparx EA V16 or V17 will have the opportunity to follow demonstrations and create their own requirements and use case models.

EA Business Architecture with ArchiMate and BPMN
This presentation shows how Enterprise Architect can be used to develop a solid understanding of an organisation’s business architecture. It focuses on the advantages of combining ArchiMate and BPMN industry standards. We cover how to:
• create a business metamodel to agree and document company standards and guidelines
• produce high level architecture viewpoints in ArchiMate – capability map, strategy views, organisation view, business function view and business process views
• link to detailed business process diagrams using BPMN
These models allow decision makers to align their business with strategic objectives and understand the impact of change.
